Position Summary:The Supervisor of EMS Education will develop, coordinate and deliver educational programs both internal and external to the organization. Internally, the incumbent will be responsible for service specific continuing medical education, return-to-practice training, remedial education and field evaluations. The Supervisor of EMS Education will also coordinate the placement of paramedic students, the delivery of tiered response training, public relations activities in the community and First Aid, CPR and Public Access Defibrillation training throughout Oxford County. The Supervisor of EMS Education will also be required to perform the full management duties of an EMS Field Supervisor when required.

The Field Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the operation of the service on a rotating shift basis. Field Supervisors will ensure paramedics observe operational policies and occupational health and safety practices during their shifts. Field Supervisors will also be responsible for ensuring staffing levels are maintained on each shift.

Provide emergency medical care and support to members of the public and to OPP members at OPP tactical incidents in a pre-hospital environment that may be in a remote or urban setting under the medical license and supervision of the OPP Physician.
