CurrentPrior to founding H&A, Ryan worked in Environmental Health and Safety leadership roles addressing issues ranging from policy development to exposure management. Throughout his career, he observed a pervasive problem: the need for companies to hire a full-time EHS professional. This was often out of reach for smaller companies, and larger companies lacked the ability to bring on knowledgeable safety experts to support their EHS manager and provide niche expertise. Ryan set out to disrupt the traditional EHS business model with a new way of thinking. In founding H&A, he bridged this crucial resource gap that introduced risk to companies of all sizes, providing tailored programs to protect employees, control costs, and secure pivotal contracts—at a fraction of the cost of a full-time safety professional. He pioneered ASSUREDCompliance, an annual partnership program catered to each organization’s specific needs, with regulatory compliance guaranteed. As the program grew in popularity, Ryan was able to extend more comprehensive services, covering compliance with not just OSHA but the EPA, DOT, and state and local agencies. Today, ASSUREDCompliance protects 65,000 employees annually and has a client retention rate of 98%.
