Ryan Martin is an award-winning freelance sports journalist and play-by-play broadcaster who has served as correspondent for The Boston Globe, New England Football Journal, and MetroWest Sports/the Milford Daily News. Additionally, Ryan has spent the last five years working as a play-by-play broadcaster and color commentator for Franklin TV, honing his skills behind the mic while broadcasting 200+ games of 16 D1 varsity sports for local cable access TV.Enrolled at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, Ryan holds involvements with Big Ten Network Plus, WMUC Sports, Testudo Times, Terrapin Sports Central, and the Maryland Baseball Network.In February 2023, Ryan was recognized by the Massachusetts Scholastic Press Association as the 2023 Massachusetts High School Journalist of the Year.
