I had the privilege of leading a large team of highly talented engineers, across both on shore and off shore locations, for the Product Research & Development team. Together we supported a large, diverse range of products and microservices, that spanned the gamut from internal usage to customer facing products. We were at the forefront of innovation, developing several products that were transformative in our industry. As such, our products contributed greatly to our company's bottom line.Awards: Excellence Award in 2022.

I worked across the full product suite, contributing to both front-end and back-end codebases. Perhaps my proudest achievement in this role was conceiving of a novel mobile app idea, the first of its kind in our industry. I successfully pitched this idea to our leadership team, and spearheaded it's development from the ground up, delivering a solution that helped to put our company at the forefront of innovation for our industry

I directed development and maintenance of the iOS and Android applications for our product, Orchestra. Additionally, I help to contribute in the overall vision and architecture of our product, working directly with the backend and design team.Along the way to our successful exit, our product received several accolades, including winning the Bold Brain startup competition in 2019.

I led the technology team for the Aegle Palette smart scale, helping to guide the implementation of our technology solution working hand-in-hand with the business stakeholders. In addition to leading the development of our mobile frontend and backend, I integrated the custom BLE hardware from the scale, and directly worked with the OEM to design the protocol for the BLE chip.

As a freelance software engineer, I have built dozens of products encompassing front-end (web and mobile) and backend. I have experience in a wide range of tech stacks and enjoy learning new languages and frameworks.As a freelance mobile engineer, I’ve built native iOS and Android apps as well as cross platform solutions. As such, my mobile development stack is fairly broad, including Objective-C, Swift, Java, Katlin, Ionic, Nativescript, and React Native with exposure to other technologies such as Flutter.As a web developer, I have experience in a range of stacks and frameworks, including: Javascript, Typescript, Vue, React, Wordpress, with some exposure to Angular as well. As a backend engineer, my preferred stack is Kotlin, Java, and Springboot, with Postgres or MySQL but I have experience with Express, Go, PHP, and Laravel as well. As a technology consultant, I have experience at a wide range of companies and individual founders, in a wide spectrum of roles, ranging from subject matter expert to fractional CTO. I enjoy offering my expertise to help them build their tech teams, ensure their stack is set up to scale, or increase efficiency. My role involves providing both strategic guidance and hands-on assistance to effectively build and enhance their tech capabilities.My portfolio includes products across a wide range of industries. Amongst my personal projects, my more popular apps have achieved both commercial and critical success. Pregnant Eating has been downloaded 50,000 times and receives consistent positive reviews. On Task is on the iDevices of thousands of educators around the world. Aegle Palette secured collaborations with several prestigious health care and educational institutions around the country. NineStein has been ranked in the Top 100 in nine different countries, reaching the Top 10 in one country.
