Designed a magnetic coupler that provides an airtight seal between two surfaces as well as a non-adhesive bond between the two components. Solved complex design challenges via structural modeling and 3-D printed prototypes. Determined reusable straw as simplest method to illustrate design and saw a demand for the product because of environmental regulations. Coordinated with my legal team to submit Patent Application and developed financials showing cost of production as well as potential markets. Patent has been rewarded as of July 2021. Original design has been improved upon and currently approaching companies that are interested in a licensing agreement.
