I am new to cybersecurity, but I have significant professional experience including several years as a Communication and Information Systems Officer in the Marine Corps. Additionally, I possess less tangible experiences such as leading people, solving complex problems, building and repairing relationships, and performing in high stress and quickly changing environments. I value the team over the individual while still encouraging independent thought and creativity. Integrity is paramount. Although I do not possess cyber-specific certificates at the moment, I expect to test for one or two of them in a few months. I hope that combining newly acquired technical skills with already existing experience will qualify me for unique "niche" positions that cut across different fields, ideally a position similar to cyber threat intelligence analyst.
