Ryne Giddins attended Armwood High School where he had a dominating career on the football field. During his senior season, he stacked up 98 tackles and 21 sacks, which earned him the title of Armwood’s all-time sack leader. He earned CSTV’s National Player of the Year and All-American honors from USA Today and Parade Magazine. EA Sports named him to their All-American Team and Reebok named him a first-team Florida Phenom selection. In 2008, he was selected for the US Army All-American Bowl.Giddins went on to play his entire collegiate career at the University of South Florida where he was one the school’s highest ever recruits. In 2012, he was named First-Team All-BIG EAST and was on the Lombardi Award Watch List. During that season he posted 44 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 11 tackles for a loss, three pressures, a broken up pass, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.Ryne Payne Giddins, or RPG as he is sometimes called, considers himself to be a guided missile on the field. He’s a great team leader, has all of the natural athletic talent a team could hope for and is a solid all-around person on and off the field. He’s got all the intangibles that make for a truly great player.
