Calvin Washington is a 6’5” 280lb defensive lineman from Charlottesville, VA and attended high school at Fishburne Military. In his senior year at Fishburne, Washington was named both the Offensive and Defensive MVP. He continued his football career at Eastern Arizona and was rated as a three-star recruit and the eighth-best junior college defensive end by Rivals.com. He was also named to the Second-Team All-ACCAC Football Team in 2011. Washington finished the season with 38 total tackles from his defensive end position, including four sacks and a fumble recovery.In 2012 Washington appeared in eight games during his first season for Western Kentucky University, racking up 12 tackles, including two for loss. He was one of 12 Hilltopper defenders to record a sack on the season with his resulting in a 13-yard loss against Southern Miss on Sept. 22. He made his WKU debut against Austin Peay on Sept. 1, tallying two tackles in the contest. Washington posted three tackles in regular-season finale against North Texas on Nov. 24. He notched a career-high and defensive linemen-high four tackles at the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl versus Central Michigan on Dec. 26.This past 2013 season, Washington saw action in 12 games, earning six starts. He recorded 22 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three tackles for loss and recovered two fumbles during the season. Against Army he had a season high six tackles and also recorded one sack in the game. Now Washington is training daily to improve his over-all peak performance and make his dream come true by being drafted into the NFL.
