Midwest filmmaker (writer, director, editor, colorist, sound designer/mixer) with dozens of festival selections from Indiana to Iceland, 100+ co-directed, cut/color/+ music videos with labels from Sony to Atlantic & premieres from Rolling Stone & MTV to GQ & NPR, and several Vimeo Staff Pick Awards under his belt as director & editor/post. Ryan's passion for film is rooted in DIY music & skateboarding culture, exploring the backroads and general experimentation, leaving the 'norm' at the door. Ryan has directed/cut 3 feature length films, along with wearing many other hats in post-production & beyond. He'll always write & direct for his own personal enjoyment, and generally does the same or for hire on other/client projects in: editing, color correction, image texturing (film emulation, analog transfer/reproduction), sound design / foley / mixing, title/design and as a 'general fixer.' Ryan is a proud co-owner & founder of Weird Life Films, where a majority of his recent work is found alongside co-founders/good friends, Jackson James & Laura Gordon. He's worked in many cities, for many budgets, & with many people. Above all, he loves things that are a bit beyond the expected, or - weird.
