At the nexus of science and policy, my mission is fostering climate resilience, adaptation, and equitable decision-making in the public sector. With over 20 years of interdisciplinary approaches to systems-level problem solving at the U.S. Geological Survey, Office of Science and Technology Policy, and other institutions, my focus has been on emphasizing the integration of hydrology, social science, and public policy into actionable solutions. This includes leading the Ukraine Climate Adaptation Team for DOI and capacity building for countries in the Mekong River Basin.Concurrently, as an Assistant Professor at The LBJ School of Public Affairs, I empower future leaders with knowledge in climate adaptation and institutional systems. My approach intertwines critical systems thinking with a keen understanding of stakeholder needs, aiming to mitigate inequities in environmental policy.
