This library allows MS Windows software to be compiled and executed successfully under Linux. • Responsible for the object-oriented design, using UML and design patterns, and development, in C++, of real-time multi-threaded software, that allows communication between simulation executive software modules and OFP software using Linux (Redhat ES5). This software utilizes shared memory to move data between the OFP and the simulation’s modules. The modules transmit asynchronous data over multiple channels each supported by its own POSIX thread. Data integrity is maintained by the use of double buffering algorithms instead of traditional kernel locks to meet strict performance requirements.• Wrote a real-time monitor, in C++ and curses, which attaches to the software’s shared memory to display and interpret the status of different modules across multiple communication channels.• Wrote a UDP monitor, in C++, responsible for observing hosts across a network and informing interested users of simulation activity. This monitor allows developers to quickly select available hosts for testing purposes.• Wrote a build versioning system, using CShell scripts and Perl, to maintain separate project builds to allow for regression testing.• Volunteered to write a Java J2EE web-based application that allows users to match anonymous quotes with names. The game allows multiple users to play the game simultaneously while maintaining score and data integrity using an Oracle database engine.
