Many moons ago I stood with my degree in Environmental Sciences in my hand and realised that I wasn't cut out to be a scientist. But luckily I also knew I had a passion for telling the story of science and sustainability. So, after completing an MSc for good measure, I set out to just do just that. My journey has taken me to many destinations and I am able to cross the boundaries between PR, branding and marketing, trade and consumer and venture across sectors. I have managed multidisciplinary teams of people and fostered relationships with strategic stakeholders. My excellent radar, natural interest in people, tenacity and ability to manage situations mean I build strong relationships and achieve results.In recent years I’ve returned to my environmental science roots, helping leading water experts, HR Wallingford to find their voice in sustainability, and demonstrating how cutting-edge science and engineering can have a huge impact for vulnerable communities across the globe. I’ve also been instrumental in helping HR Wallingford create its first sustainability strategy. In the early days I learnt my craft under the guidance of highly-awarded entrepreneur Keith Johnston at GoinGreen Ltd - the retailers of the G-Wiz electric vehicle. During this time I contributed to quadrupling the size of the business.As Account Director at The Good Agency I devised strategic communications campaigns with environmental and social messages and led my account team to turn ideas into reality. My clients included Mars PLC, Forum for the Future, London Sustainability Exchange, the Forest Footprint Disclosure Project and various trade bodies. In 2009 I launched Angela Palmer’s Ghost Forest Art Project in Trafalgar Square. I then teamed up with a colleague from G-Wiz days to form Fable + Co PR. We continued the electric car theme alongside working with Fulham Palace in West London.After Fable + Co I took some time out from paid work to look after my young family. Now I'm at world-leading water innovators, HR Wallingford. The work here is truly fascinating and a pleasure to promote. My work has taken me to the London Fashion Weeks, Ecobuild, the British Motor Show, Clarence House and DFID as well as various laboratories, factories and forests.
