ASSISTANT CONTRACTS MANAGER • HAIGH RAIL LIMITED • 2018 – PRESENT Contract manager for our de-veg ground maintenance teams across the division. With wealth of experience within ground maintenance/leadership and management will see improvement in motivation/attitude and behaviours.Putting a stable structure in place, will utilise my multi-faceted know-how to support the company’s Ground Maintenance teams and also develop onsite training, which include “Delivering Manual Handling level 1/2/3” Machine plant training “Handheld Equipment” such as Brush cutters/Hedge cutters etc. for internal and external clients. Keeping up with the latest methods of training to ensure that each candidate receives the very best training we can provide.Whilst working closely with all divisional managers across the sector, I will be hoping to increase the stability in our structure in providing a service that is next to none for our clients. To create a safe work environment and a continuously improving quality culture, to encourage and motivate others to their full potential.I brought my 20 years’ De-Veg experience over to Haigh Rail and quickly found myself getting challenged to look at the safety aspects of the work. This involves being in constant contact with the employees to ensure the tools and equipment they are using is up to the relevant standard, are they following all of the correct procedures on site and once they leave site. Looking at “Risk Assessments” the structure of logging information the company requires to coincide with regulations. As well as ensuring the work force are well and fit to work. If they have any issues, I know they are comfortable to talk to me and any problems will be dealt with. Are there possibilities to improve moving forward with the assistance of the workforce? Encourage positive attitudes and behaviours across the sector.
