I am a third culture individual who, although having Japanese and America heritage, was born and raised in Hong Kong and identify as a “Hong Konger”. I am fascinated by culture and much of my work is focused on practically harnessing the social phenomenon of culture towards creating meaningful and substantive growth in teams.In 2006 I moved to the United States to attend the University of Arizona, attaining degrees in both Psychology and East Asian Studies. After graduating I moved to Beijing where I lived and worked for 8 years and then moved to Shanghai for several years before coming back to Hong Kong in 2020.I joined my mother, Teresa Norton, in 2014 to launch StarMaker. Between her unique approach coaching and training professionals using theater tools and my background in psychology we found that we truly had something unique to offer.Since our launch I have trained thousands of professionals around Asia in both English and Mandarin and am also working with a number of C-Suite leaders as a communication coach. Certified as a Workplace Big-Five consultant I use this powerful personality metric to provide professionals with the building blocks they need to grow and thrive. I have worked in collaboration with the East West Center at the University of Hawaii, provided training for ShangHai JiaoTong University and University of Amherst as well as speaking as a specialists at Hong Kong University.
