Once the contract was awarded, I was responsible for the design and engineering of the ventilation and sprinkler packages, this included procurement of major plant items and acquisition of subcontractors to undertake the works. Ensuring all pre-construction documentation was issued and approved including the production of technical submissions, weekly-work plans and Healthy and Safety paperwork. I also provided the less experienced engineers with the support and guidance they needed to carry out their role effectively. As the project progressed my role was elevated to that of Design manager. I was responsible for closing out all remaining services design issues, conducting design workshops and collaborating with the rest of the design team. I managed the CAD team providing fully coordinated and compliant Revit / Navis 3D models and installation drawings in line with the specification, client requirements and the time constraints of the project.
