• Leadership and management of projects and programmes, including Connecting Education and Communities: funding work to engage parents in their children’s learning, sharing effective practice and increasing capacity in the sector, and advocating for public policy to support this• Establishing the annual New Zealand Child Poverty Monitor in partnership with the New Zealand Children’s Commissioner and the University of Otago• Providing policy and strategic advice to the board and supporting the development of the Trust’s strategic direction; supporting the Trust’s learning including through an evaluation framework• Assessing applications for large, multi-year projects, enhancing impact by building relationships and working in partnership with grant recipients, e.g. sourcing mentoring for a small housing provider in the rural far-North or linking a national advocacy organisation with evaluation support• Building external relationships with Government, philanthropy and communities• Maintaining and developing IT systems, including grants database, finance system and website• Coordinating communications, including social media and annual report
