I lead the Life Insurance team within the Emerging Verticals Data Science and Analytics group. Working with my direct report, I coordinate with product and strategy teams to plan and develop new credit-based and alternative data modeling products, conduct internal and external research, and provide sales and research support for existing mortality risk solutions.

I develop a variety of parametric and non-parametric credit models, primarily in the life insurance space, but also for financial service clients. As the data science lead in these projects, I work closely with product partners and clients to ensure the models meet market demands, as well as oversee the entire model development process. I lead multiple TU Insurance Thought Leadership Summit projects, as well as helping onboard new hires and helping design the technical evaluation process for summer interns.

I provide quantitative consulting in support of our sales teams, helping to explain technical statistical concepts in an intuitive manner to clients. Using SAS, I created and refined marketing mix statistical models for clients with over $200MM in sales and $10M in marketing spend. Responsible for all stages of the modeling process, from collecting, verifying, and cleaning data to visualizing modeling results and providing insights and recommendations to clients. I worked with clients across a wide range of industries, from the CPG world to insurance, beverage, pharmaceutical, and electronic appliances.

Responsibilities include cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing multi-GB data sets for multiple clients in SAS and Excel, as well as creating insight presentations based on observed trends and model results.

Manage shifts of 4-7 student callers, troubleshoot software problems, and respond to alumni feedback. Fortnightly meetings with supervisor to help determine long-term fundraising goals and strategies.Assist callers in fundraising techniques, provide critical feedback for callers, brief callers on shift goals.
