Responsibilities:• Provide thermal-specific consultation support to company activities.• Utilise FEA simulation software and/or analytical calculations to substantiate design reviews.• Develop a range of novel modelling and simulation techniques to increase thermal capability.• Manage stakeholder interactions to ensure successful delivery of customer requirements.• Develop model verification, validation and quality assurance procedures.• Lead, train and mentor junior staff including technical review of analysis work.• Promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.Recent experience:• Developed high-fidelity thermal transport container system models with supporting V&V evidence.• Supported programme of fire trials producing modelling validation evidence as a key stakeholder.• Performed parametric sensitivity studies on large system models using HPC platform.• Managed large materials testing programme to support model development.• Developed new thermal capabilities including organic and intumescent paint material models.• Provided fast-response analysis support to support high-priority production issues.• Lead uplift of internal QA processes (V&V, data management etc.) using NAFEMS recommendations.• Supported several junior and graduate engineers with project delivery and personal developments.• Presented and participated in various technical forums

Responsibilities: • Provide an engineering FE analysis service to support company's mission objectives.• Utilise FEA simulation software and/or analytical calculations to substantiate design reviews.• Learn and develop a range of novel modelling and simulation techniques to increase capability.• Manage stakeholder interactions to ensure successful delivery of customer requirements.• Application of model verification and validation evidence and quality assurance procedures.Experience: • Developed capability in multiple analysis techniques:- Thermal, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Electromagnetic & Structural Dynamics.- Steady-State, Transient, Non-linear, Implicit & Explicit.• Completed analyses for numerous projects, including:- Supporting safety-cases for transport containers, oxidation facilities & blast trials.- Supporting design development of manufacturing processes & technology demonstrators.
