My role as a Kitchen Porter was to ensure that the Kitchen Staff had an ample amount of cooking utensils, supplies and dining equipment readily available for them to use. I was also required to ensure that they had a tidy and mess free working space in order for them to continue working effectively and efficiently without worrying about space.I was also required at times, to help in the preparation of food in order to keep the kitchen stocked up and running effectively without the need to stop and grab cooking supplies.

My role as a General Assistant for Budgens Superstores was to ensure that the shop floor was adequately maintained and filled with product to a respectable level. This meant ensuring that the delivery that we received at the store was put out with little to no products being returned to the Warehouse.I was also required to operate the checkouts and the tills in order to greet and serve customers. This meant that I was able scan and total customers items that they had purchased, as well as take requests for Lottery tickets and our In store Top Up Point.
