Assisted in data collection for multiple quail research projects. Duties included telemetry tracking, quail trapping and tagging, and quail chick capture and tagging.

Assisted in data collection for a grassland bird research project that focused on community level response to management activities in a reclaimed strip mine setting. Performed vegetation surveys, rope dragging, point count surveys, telemetry, and checked pitfall traps and cover boards for insect and herpetofauna, respectively.

INVASIVE PLANT MANAGEMENT: Performed both mechanical and chemical treatments on invasive plant species. Chemical treatments included herbicide application from a truck sprayer, UTV sprayer, and backpack sprayer. Mechanical treatments included hand-pulling and digging up invasive plants.GIS: Surveyed and recorded invasive species presence using a Trimble Geo7x. Utilized ArcMap and Pathfinder Office to upload spatial data and create survey and treatment maps.RESTORATION: Collected native plant seed for restoration projects. Prepared seed beds at restoration site for optimal germination, and erosion control. Developed native seed mixes and ratios.PUBLIC OUTREACH: Collaborated with colleagues to develop an informational pamphlet for local landowners with information about invasive plants, control methods, and cost-share programs.VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION: Worked with volunteers at the park on several occasions to perform hand-pulling of invasive plants, and native seed collection. Provided instructions on techniques, safety instructions, and answered volunteer questions regarding tasks.INVENTORY AND MONITORING: Shadowed Rocky Mountain Inventory and Monitoring team sampling upland plots. Assisted with data collection such as DBH measurements, and overall tree health assessments.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT: Maintained and managed budget Excel document, placed orders as needed, managed invoices for reimbursement, coordinated payments with vendors.TRAVEL LOGISTICS: Booked rental cars and hotels for education consultants travel as need. Handled all travel related paperwork, including travel receipts, for education consultants to be reimbursed.SCHEDULING: Scheduled all program appointments and any equipment service appointments that were needed.CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provided friendly and efficient customer service to all clients. Answered phones at the front desk and handled all program questions, appointment scheduling, and initial telephone intake interviews.
