As a Curriculum Manager at SCETV, I lead the development and implementation of innovative and engaging curriculum for K-12 students and teachers in South Carolina. I collaborate with educators, content experts, and media professionals to create high-quality digital resources that align with state standards and promote quality hand on learning. I also manage the evaluation and improvement of the existing curriculum and the dissemination of the best practices and feedback.In addition to my current role, I am a PhD Candidate in Teaching and Learning at the University of South Carolina, where I conduct research on the impact of e-learning on student achievement and motivation, especially for rural and diverse learners. I have also been teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2022, sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring teachers and educators.I have nearly a decade of work experience in the education sector, having previously worked as a Learning Engagement Coach at the South Carolina Department of Education, where I supported family literacy across the state and provided professional development and coaching to teachers and school leaders. I hold a Master of Education in Language and Literacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the University of South Carolina, as well as certifications in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Gifted Education. I am a certified literacy teacher, literacy coach, and literacy specialist. My core competencies include critical literacy, e-learning development, K-12 education, curriculum design, instructional leadership, adult learning pedagogy, and research. I am passionate about enhancing the quality and accessibility of education for all students, especially those who are underserved, marginalized, or gifted. I am committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, and I seek to contribute to the advancement of the teaching and learning field.
