With over 25 years of experience in the fashion retail industry, working in management and training roles for major retailers, I took my expertise and became a boutique business owner. I successfully built and operated three thriving businesses, which I eventually sold.My success as a small business owner was largely due to my dedication to excellent customer service, my strong and popular styling abilities in fashion, homewares, and giftware, my on-trend buying decisions, and my strong business acumen. I also hosted fun and engaging in-store events and was committed to ongoing staff training and development. My strengths lie in coaching, motivating, and inspiring others, and I find immense fulfillment in helping people thrive both in business and in life.A quick learner, I understand that business growth is an ongoing journey. Through my businesses, I built extensive networks and connections, including in the not-for-profit cancer sector. After losing my brother to cancer at the age of 35, I channeled my grief and passion into founding The Warwick Cancer Foundation in 2007. In this voluntary role, I secured sponsorships, maintained strong business relationships, recruited and trained volunteers, enlisted the support of dedicated ambassadors, and created programs that supported a crucial age group living with cancer.Although I made the difficult decision to close the foundation in 2014 due to financial challenges, I am proud of the impact we made over seven years.In 2017, I launched The Empathy Gift Co., offering healing and wellness gift boxes for those going through tough times. Having recently sold the business, I am currently taking a break to relax and reflect on my next venture.
