I firmly believe that each and every one of us is directly connected to the Earth we depend on for survival. It is our job to protect the environment and all living things in existence, and I pride myself in supporting this within my community. By guiding people towards cultivating the awareness of how we are connected to each other and this planet, we can begin to heal and can ultimately begin to mitigate the impacts of climate change. One of my last courses in my undergrad experience was field biology. We explored 300 acres of natural area every day of class and learned how to identify different flora, fauna and wildlife within the habitat. Through the identification process, our professor encouraged us to examine every detail of the organism before we rushed to identify it, because once you identify something, the learning stops. This profound outlook is something I've carried with me throughout my life since that moment. I believe it's our nature to be curious and ask questions and look at everything from every perspective we possibly can. It is then that we can truly connect to nature as well as one another. As a passion driven professional, I aspire to guide others to develop these holistic connections and have a positive impact on my community.
