About Samar Issa
I am a consultant haematologist and clinical head of the lymphoma services at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland/ New Zealand. After gaining the fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, I completed a post doctoral fellowship in translational research in lymphoma at the University of California San Francisco. I am an active member of a number of local and international scientific groups; the founding chair of the Lymphoma Network of New Zealand, the founding clinical director of the Middlemore Tissue Bank and an executive committee member of the international primary central nervous system lymphoma collaborative group. I am passionate about research, and is the principle and primary investigator on several local and international lymphoma clinical trials and the author of multiple research papers and book chapters in the field of lymphoma.
