About Sam Jay Gold

Outlandish writer, serious puppeteer, and passionate arts educator. Traveled around the world studying puppets as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, then came back to the states to make weird work about real people. Onstage shows have been supported by the Jim Henson Foundation and performed in venues like Lincoln Center, St. Ann's Warehouse, and BAM -- as well as in festivals in Europe, Asia, and South America. As a screenwriter, my work has screened in festivals across the country and was awarded Best Writing at the Independent Television Festival. You can check out my tragically expensive action/adventure script, Converso, at the top of The Black List, where it's received lifetime hosting and promotion. And catch Newts!, my Ambie award-nominated audio drama about salamanders that take over the world wherever you listen to podcasts.Screenwriting repped by Tulsea. Member of SAG-AFTRA. Always open to new collaborations.More info at www.samjaygold.com
