I taught “The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs” and “Data Structures”. Each week of the semester, I led small discussion sections to review course content introduced in lecture and held office hours to help students identify mistakes in their code and complete their programming projects.

I led a diverse team of students to lobby Berkeley’s mayor and city council in support of zoning reform, housing construction, better street lighting, and our other priorities. I coordinated with my team and other ASUC members to advocate for our preferred policies by writing letters, speaking at public meetings, and meeting with local leaders and neighborhood groups. We also organized educational events about local issues and I moderated debates between candidates for city office.I'm proud of the fact that my team's efforts and the parallel work of so many other passionate, forward-thinking Berkeley citizens paid off in a big way. Berkeley became one of the first cities in the country to permit 2-4 unit multi-family housing everywhere in the city. Berkeley also changed zoning laws to allow for more student housing near campus and invested in bike infrastructure, pedestrian safety, and street lighting in student neighborhoods.I started as local government staff in 2018, became local government deputy-director in 2019, and director of local government relations in May 2020.
