I currently lead testing for Smallworld GIS and BUD (Bentley Utility Designer) on the GIS team on the Xcel Energy Account. I write test scripts in the Rational Tools and conduct testing. I then oversee the business testing in the test environment and also the production testing. I also help with project testing for upgrades or new additions to GIS or BUD. I am also working on how SAP works with the two applications. i also use Rational Tools and have lead team calls and scrums for the releases. I am in charge of creating defects. I also help fill in with my old role doing day to day trouble shooting with the Smallworld software. I am also AWS Cloud Practitioner Certified.

• Aid Xcel energy designers with using Smallworld and Expert Designer software by answering how to questions or aiding with system issues.• Work with Designers on Gas and Electrical designs. • Troubleshoot data issues and make minor corrections to data in the system, so that the designers can properly illustrate their work.• Prepare communication to go out to the users in case of outages or other issues.• Aid in writing test scripts for the Business to test changes and new features that are going into GIS Smallworld or Expert Designer using the IBM Rational Tools.• Perform pre and post production testing of new features and aid in trouble shooting any issues that the Business testers may find.• Support the PNI product that is used for the Smart Grid City in Boulder, CO.• Work on various side projects that may involve the use of ESRI tools, AutoCAD or other products that might be combined with the Smallworld products.• Run the manual part of the daily Merge and Posting of data. • Worked on testing using for the new release of the Outage Management System that was going in across all Xcel Energy territories. • Updated customer address locations in Smallworld GIS to make sure they matched with the CRS system used at Xcel Energy.• Matched the address with what the various counties in the Twin Cities metro.• Made corrections and updates to the Twin Cities gas data using Gas Foreman sketches.• Updated features outside of the Denver metro in Colorado from field checks.• Made corrections when the Outage Management System would find errors with the Smallworld data.• Resolve conflicts between data between Designers alternatives and my maintenance alternatives.
