We are always one valve away from a catastrophic failure. The key is in the smallest of details, especially in the world of Quality Control. One faulty minute part or component could make all the difference- and it’s my job to find it.As a Quality Control Manager, for Riggio Valve, I’m responsible for all quality control within the Valve Repair Program, ensuring that each valve is rigorously repaired, assembled, tested and maintained, rigidly to the ASME code of standards, in addition to keeping meticulous documentation, certifications, policies and procedures. A varied role that I absolutely embrace, with no two days ever being the same!My motto is “right is better than done”, meaning that quality is paramount together with ownership of a project, willing to go the extra mile to get the job done safely and efficiently. Working with the Riggio Valve team, I take immense pride in my work and my colleagues, bringing together the strengths of individuals and helping people develop further, sharing knowledge to benefit the bigger goal. I oversee the training program for personnel, with regards to quality control, ensuring that any changes in current processes and requirements are understood. With my extensive experience in multiple roles, with each giving me a unique insight and respect for the team I work with. While serving in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program I was responsible for the operations and maintenance of the nuclear power plants aboard United States Navy Aircraft Carriers. These plants were integral to the successful operation of not only the carrier, but all services, personnel and aircraft aboard. A situation where attention to detail could - and would- make all the difference! My passion is information and knowledge. I’m dedicated to continuous learning; a questioning curiosity and desire to understand how things work, and whether they can be improved, streamlined or innovated. My focus is to find the answer, exhausting all efforts and resources to uncover the reason why.
