About Samuel D. Samson

Samuel D. Samson is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at American Moment. With a background in conservative politics and a passion for building strong relationships, he works with American Moment's key friends and supporters to advance their values through the organization's work.Born in Boston, MA and raised in Houston, TX, Sam found an affinity with politics at a young age. He studied political theory and business at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors in 2021. He is also currently a part-time Master's student at Hillsdale College's Van Andel School of Government in Washington, DC.Outside of school, Sam’s work experience has ranged from the United States Senate to Catholic nonprofits. Previously, he worked at the Thomistic Institute, helping manage and scale the organization’s nationwide network.Sam holds a deep appreciation for study and the pursuit of truth. He is particularly interested in American Politics' intersection with the natural law tradition, the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the classical understanding of liberty. His written work has been featured in many national publications including First Things and The American Conservative.In his free time, you can find him at his local parish, reading, playing golf, practicing the piano, traveling abroad, or discussing political and theological takes with friends — preferably outside while drinking an Arnold Palmer.
