Mr. Evans is trained in Psychology (BA) as well as in focus group moderation techniques (RIVA Training Institute). He has over twelve years of professional research experience, having conducted a variety of user experience, communications, and survey research activities for various organizations within the U.S. government as well as in the private sector. Mr. Evans has been designing and executing qualitative research studies for over ten years, with significant experience managing projects, executing studies, authoring moderator guides, and moderating in-person and remote qualitative research events (e.g., focus groups, in-depth interviews, and asynchronous discussion boards). His training and experience include moderating with various populations and topics, including sensitive topics, such as COVID-19 vaccine readiness, LGBTQIA+ topics (e.g., health and inclusion), diversity and inclusion in the workplace, sexual harassment and assault, excessive alcohol consumption, tobacco use, prescriptions and medication, and personal finances. Additionally, he has authored numerous actionable, client-driven briefings and executive notes that have guided military recruiting activities, client marketing strategies, and the design of new products as well as communications materials.
