Previously worked as a Laboratory Technician for Aquanzo, specialising in the maintenance of tanks growing artemia for use as a novel protein source for fish in aquaculture.Previously worked at The Ash Partnership Ltd. as an Ecological Assistant, helping to survey and relocate reptiles between sites planned for development and working on bat surveys.Went on an Erasmus+ work placement from June 2017 - August 2017, to work with staff at The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet), specifically at the Department for Aquatic Resources. Was involved in collecting water samples from two sites in Uppland, Sweden. Used practical lab skills to count zooplankton samples and identifying adult calanoid copepods, rotifers, and other Baltic-based zooplankton. This data was used for my Honours Project. Was also involved in other projects whilst in Sweden, mainly gaining practical skills collecting zooplankton and maintaining and creating cultures of Artemia for feeding fish larvae.Have two years of experience with Capturing our Coast South East, coming along to many public events and providing coastline surveys.Have four years of lab skills and practical field skills gained from my BSc (Hons) Marine Biology course and MSc Applied Aquatic Biology course.
