Co-ordination of the NCS programme at Hymers College, HullThis work involves: organising both summer and autumn programmes, hiring and training staff, arranging transport and meeting with community figures to book workshops for the programme. Also required, is meeting with members of staff in locals schools in the city in order to effectively recruit young people through assemblies and other recruitment events as well as all administrative tasks related to the programme.

Synthesis of a Potent and Selective Kinase InhibitorThis work involved: developing a therapeutic strategy for the inhibition of a protein linked with ovarian cancer using LCMS, NMR and HPLC were used to characterise and purify compounds that were sent for initial screenings against various protein kinases. Structure activity relationships were received and using crystal structure and homology model data new compounds were designed and synthesised.
