I work in web technologies such as AngularJS now, backed by Microsoft products such as SQL Server, IIS and MSMQ. Still using Agile development for the most part. Now operating in a tribe/squad model inspired by Spotify.

2013 started working on ASP.NET MVC web application using distributed RESTful services and MSMQ, with MS SQL Server database. Using Agile development from 2011 working on multiple teams as development resource and scrum master using scrum and scrum-ban. Prior to 2013, working on 5 separate products using C# and Windows Forms/MS Web Forms/MS Web.

From Feb of 2010 I have been heavily involved in the completion of a project to upgrade the reporting system available to our product range. I have been working with twenty or so people across the company (and outside the company) providing guidance on the technology and architecture of the new system as well as developing the solution within the project.

I am now working for a group that supplies common services to other groups in the department such as security services, application frameworks and other things.We use the Scrum development process to develop our products, using C# and Microsoft SQL Server.

This work had me maintaining and adding to one product of the many our company produces. I guided a team of developers and testers in adding new features to the software. The product was a web application using ASP.NET 2.0 talking to an MS SQL 2000 database. I interacted with about ten other teams to ensure delivery and support of the product. I worked.

I worked as a senior developer with a team to develop a Supply maintenance web-based product. The product used Microsoft ASP pages running on Internet Information Services (IIS) and utilized COM+ components for the business and data logic layers, and Microsoft SQL Server as the database at the backend.

Initially I was a senior software developer working on the document management product the company produced; later on I became a consultant and trainer for our product, developing solutions for customers and training them as far afield as Estonia, Finland and Singapore.

After a period of time working as a senior developer I was given the technical lead designer position for a team of 29 developing ticketing software for a UK transport company.

I worked on Autonomy Records Management, the company's document management system. I mostly worked with the Administration client, which was written using Borland’s Delphi 2.0 and 4.0. I assisted the team with quality issues (for ISO 9000), developed the system’s Open Document Management API server, and monitored new Microsoft offerings which might.

As part of my degree program with Queen's University of Belfast I worked at Kainos for the period June 1990 - Sept 1991. After I graduated I started back at Kainos and worked my way up to the position of Senior Software Engineer, whose duties included leading teams of various sizes. I worked in a variety of projects covering technologies from UNIX, OS/2.
