I am a Senior Lecturer in Law at UWS' School of Business and Creative Industries, based in Paisley. I have a particular interest in human rights (at the domestic and international levels), cultural heritage law, the interaction between domestic and international law, and international criminal law. My current research focuses on the use of international human rights law before domestic courts and the way in which human rights treaty compliance mechanisms work.Since 2022, I have been a board member of the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland. Since 2024, I have been Vice-Chair of the Board and am currently Interim Chair.
