Oversee all On-board IT operations including Data center management, vendor relationships, technical support and Satellite equipment and maintenance to ensure operation of the revenue and guest tracking systems. Liaison between shore-side IT & various departments of the ship to managed shipboard IT projects.Responsibilities •Ensure SOX and PCI compliance is being adhered to onboard.•Manage the shipboard systems and communicate to management regarding the systems availability.•Monitoring and maintaining the LAN, network Servers, routers, LAN Points, switches, patch panels and access points to prevent faults from occurring.Manage technical support and Assistant IT Officers by establishing goals, setting priorities, assigning tasks and preparing weekly status reports.•Managing and maintaining the shipboard VOIP calling system via Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Manage Wireless Cisco Access Points with WLC•Maintain onboard data center in organized and structured manner•Maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure including VSAT connectivity ensuring optimum uptime and minimal outages•Provide training to users as well as Assistant IT Officer's•Ensure 24/7 operations needs for all systems and support is met.•Review open Snow case incidents for updates and follow up on open issues•Monitoring the shipboard internet café, logging the internet up and down times.•Responsible for adhering to internal controls, data security, daily and weekly reporting, hardware inventory and daily operations.•Monitor, maintain and support all satellite communication (telephone and data) is available 24/7•Work with all shipboard officers and staff on providing technical support services in approved areas.•Providing technical support to the Technical Officer and Security Department on the CCTV Security System (Milestone).•Coordinating with the shoreside support team as well as vendors on resolving issues with respective systems.
