Underwriting unsecured business loans upto 50 Lakh

I was responsible for underwriting unsecured loans upto 25 Lakh by conducting personal discussions with customers to evaluate their income, intention, capacity, and risk. My responsibilities included assessing financials, preparing Credit Appraisal Memos, analyzing financial ratios, verifying all KYCs, completing underwriting, and recommending cases to RCM. I also coordinated with external agencies (FI Reports), the co-lending team, ops team, and monitored the disbursement process.

Fintree Finance is an RBI registered NBFC based in Mumbai that offered secured and unsecured loans to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through a co-lending model. In this organization, my role involved underwriting unsecured SME loans with a ticket size of up to 25 lakhs, preparing Credit Appraisal Memos, analyzing the financial capability and repayment capacity of borrowers on financial grounds, analyzing various documents and FI reports, conducting Physical PD and TelePD, verifying all KYCs and financial information of borrowers, and then recommending cases to the RCM. I also coordinated with external agencies for FI reports and monitored the disbursement process.
