Growing up, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for my career, but I knew I wanted to work with numbers. After working with budgeting and finance, I was given a great opportunity to move into a more analytical role. From that moment, I realized that I was meant to be an analyst. I enjoyed the challenges of finding, obtaining, and analyzing data and then putting it all together to provide valuable information.I have a reputation for being able to combine data from multiple sources as well as delve into the details in ways that allow me to provide more comprehensive analyses to answer the questions at hand. This means that I am the go-to person in my group for more complicated analytical needs. However, more data and higher complexity means I may find myself going too far down the rabbit hole as I continue to dig deeper. Those situations often lead to spin-off projects that I look forward to working on in the future.As an analytics consultant, I take the “consultant” part of my job title very seriously. I make it a point to develop relationships and collaborate with my partners and other internal customers to understand and address their needs for each step of every project. My goal is to provide them the tools and support they need to do their jobs better. Outside of work, I like to kayak, hike, and do Sudoku puzzles. Of course, I still like to get into non-work-related data and find myself occasionally downloading hockey statistics to play around with.
