Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Manages all human resources programs, policies, and human resources personnelOversees the daily activities and assigns and evaluates the work of the HR Department staffEnsures compliance with company policies and governmental legislationsDirects all employee relations activities and promotes community relationsAddresses employee questions and/or issues, conducts employee counseling, and ensures employees’ right to exercise the “open door policy”Conducts and monitors employee disciplinary actions, including terminationsProvides counsel to managers and supervisors on human resources policies, programs, and procedures to ensure fair and consistent application and employee treatmentPerforms and/or oversees employee staffing activities, and administration of the compensation, employee benefits, paid time off, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and other human resources programsParticipates in and/or conducts employee training programs and new hire orientationsMonitors employment laws to assure compliance with all current legislationAssists in the development of policies and proceduresCoaches and/or mentors the HR department employees in order to develop their knowledge and skills in accordance with their overall responsibilities within the department

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provides overall HR support for two facilities in all of the functional areas of Human ResourcesPartners with hiring managers to determine recruitment strategies for their hiring needsPerforms recruiting, selection, and employment process for the purpose of meeting staffing requirementsLeads and/or participates in the onboarding process and new employee orientationInputs and maintains human resources data in HRIS and timekeeping systemsImplements, administers, and supports HR programs and policies on a local levelAddresses employee relations issues, as required, performing inquiries/investigations and facilitating timely resolution of the issuesAdministers benefit plans, including Annual Benefit Enrollment, on a local basis, and conducts employee presentations on benefit plans, as neededAdministers leave of absence programs on a local basis, and ensures that leaves are documented in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
