I am a proud first generation college graduate, community college transfer, daughter of Mexican immigrants and Bay Area Native.Driven by a passion for empowering first year and transfer underrepresented students at UC Berkeley, I bring 5 years of extensive experience in student advocacy and support services in my current role as EOP's Latinx Success Counselor. My focus is on developing tailored support programs for Latinx and HSI-identifying students, directly aligning with UC Berkeley's mission to foster a Latinx Thriving university.My work in EOP goes beyond traditional counseling; it’s about nurturing a community where every student can flourish holistically. I’ve seen the profound impact on student success from personalized support on both academic and social-emotional well-being. It is my goal for ALL of my students to leave our counseling appointment feeling herd, validated, supported, informed and empowered to take on the action steps that we figure out together to get their needs met.In collaboration with campus partners like the Career Center, Undocumented Student Center and Transfer Center, I’ve been instrumental in creating initiatives that advance student development and community engagement.
