I am currently an ABSN student at University of Pennsylvania and a UC Davis graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior along with a Minor in Human Development. My first foray into the realm of healthcare was volunteering as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Intern at UC Davis Medical Center. There, I made unforgettable interpersonal connections with pediatric patients and witnessed how nurses provided holistic care to patients. I later had opportunities to learn about medical decision-making processes, medical workflow, and how to improve care with evidence-based practices during my time as a scribe at Stanford's Gastroenterology Clinic. I plan to apply the experiences/knowledge that I have gained over the past years to become a nurse who is attentive, compassionate, and an advocate for patients. Most importantly, I want my patients to feel comfortable having me be a part of their healthcare team, knowing that I will provide care actively and relentlessly.
