Management, oversight, and administrative leadership for the Division of Special Collections & Archives, which includes LaBudde Special Collections, Marr Sound Archives, University Archives, Digital Projects, Cataloging & Metadata Management. Serve as part of the University Libraries' Deans Leadership Group with primary responsibilities for special collections and archives, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and the libraries' partnership with the Center for Digital and Public Humanities, situated in UMKC's School of Humanities & Social Sciences.

Appointment with UMKC Office of Academic Affairs. A member of the Faculty Search Support Team, providing outreach, resources, and support to faculty search committees in order to ensure inclusive hiring practices. Representing non-tenure track faculty.

Management, oversight, and leadership for the division of Special Collections and Archives, Miller Nichols Library, UMKC. Includes LaBudde Special Collections, Marr Sound Archives, University Archives, and Digital Archives & Stewardship.

Manage all facets of the digital assets and digital collections created by the Special Collections Division at UMKC Libraries. Collaboratively designs and develops a technical infrastructure for the University digital library to support the management, digitization process, development of metadata, preservation, and appropriate storage and retrieval of digital collections at the University. Monitors digitization trends and developments and recommends appropriate adoption and implementation of new technologies and methods.

Manage the creation and maintenance of descriptive metadata to enhance discovery and access to the UMKC Libraries’ digitized collections as well as the finding aids associated with the archival collections in the Marr Sound Archives. Provide original cataloging of broadcast recordings housed in the Marr Sound Archives.

Managed the daily operations of an 18-month National Endowment for the Humanities, Humanities Collections and References Resources grant-funded project to catalog 3,000 broadcast transcription discs, lacquer discs, and disc stampers from the Arthur B. Church KMBC Radio Collection; supervised 3 students. Grant completed: October 18, 2012 (deadline: October 30, 2012).Managed the daily operations of a 3-year Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant-funded project to catalog a collection of 10,000 broadcast transcription discs and lacquer discs donated by J. David Goldin; supervised 3 paraprofessional staff and 2 students. Grant completed: Feb. 23, 2011 (deadline: Feb. 28, 2011).

Performed complex and original cataloging for electronic resources, archival materials, and other special formats; established procedures for handling of special formats; participated in database maintenance and quality control for all bibliographic and authority records; served as liaison to vendors and obtained records for import/export; selected music materials for addition to the collections

Performed copy cataloging and authority work for A/V materials and scores in the Fine Arts Library; performed copy cataloging for books and pamphlets in Special Collections; managed bindery and outsourced cataloging shipments; managed bindery and student budgets; hired, trained, and supervised students in the shelf-prep area; performed minor repair of books and scores; other special projects

Performed original and copy cataloging for A/V materials; performed catalog maintenance and authority control through the NACO-AV funnel; trained staff and assisted with the development of music cataloging best practices

Organized and contacted coordinator for 9 Southeast Asian countries to schedule auditions and assist with travel arrangements for SAYOWE (Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble); composed and edited official documents; consulted on the development of the new music library
