Democritus Mechatronics & Automation - DMA currently consists of 20 Undergraduate Engineering Students focused on researching new technologies based on mechatronics and automation appliances and having the mind to spread research and edge technologies across our fellow students and the local community. The team was established in March of 2022. The team is under the supervision of our professors: Dr. L. Bampis and Dr. S. Mouroutsos. DMA is under the auspices of Mechatronics & Systems Automation Lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace.The team works on specific projects which enhance the team members' soft and hard skills. Our passion is for algorithms, we mainly focus on them, and one of the team's objectives is to share its research findings under the OpenSource domain.

Lead Organizer of the 3rd TEDxDUTH which took place in October 2022, and Lead Organizer of the 4th TEDxDUTH which will take place in November 2023.

As a student-member of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), I assure the quality of Greek university departments of higher education institutions by assessing and accrediting them.Since February 2023, I have participated in the following 3 external evaluation and accreditation panels:• Department of Naval Architecture - University of West Attica (Feb. 23)• Department of Industrial Design & Production Engineering - University of West Attica (May 23)• School of Production Engineering and Management - Technical University of Crete (Jun 23) I addressed the student-related concepts of the final reports by drawing on my knowledge of the Greek educational system and the realities of Greek universities. I also aided the panels by offering my perspective as a current student.My contributions to the panel's final report focused mainly on the topics of:1) Student -centred approach in learning, teaching and assessment of students.2) Student admission, progression, recognition of academic qualifications and award of degrees & certificates of competence of the new study programme.3) Learning resources and student support of the new undergraduate programme.

General Info of the Team:DRT is the Electric Formula Student Team of Democritus University of Thrace. The team is closed, and those who gets involved are getting through a process called Recruitment. Currently involves 50 Undergraduate Students, who voluntarily contribute to the project of Designing, Developing, Constructing and Race with an electric prototype single-seated formula student racing car.Subgroup Info :A subgroup designed in the summer of 2020, and is still under development. The goal of the subgroup is the business development of the team, ensuring sustainability, and the design and construction of information systems and structures within the team. The subgroup deals with three main areas, the design, the group information systems, and its infrastructure.Completed projects so far (Business Development Subteam):IT Systems :-Redesigned the Website of our Team.-Created and developed custom e-mails within "democritusracingteam.com" domain.-Use of Custom Domain Name System.-Designed DRT's Intranet.-Efficiently Use and Setup of Team's Licensing Servers, concerning the Sponsored Team Software.(Examples : BETA CAE Systems, Ansys, Ricardo, MSC, etc)-IT Systems & Network Security. (Including the designing of Firewalls, Switches etc)-Developing a Custom Cloud for DRT Members.Design :-Everyday support of the Teams Social Media. (Banners, Projects, Photography, Video & Photo Editing)-3D-Renderings (Photoreallistic Photos-Videos) of the Mechanical Assemblies concerning the car prototype.-Designing of Special Effects.-Rebranding.Infrastructure & Logistics:-Workshop Project : From paper to a fully integraded cloud-based application.--Inventory Management.--Ordering of new equipment.-Networking.
