Operations Oversight: Strategically oversee operations from the arrival of local farm products to client delivery, including receiving, inventory tracking, packing, delivery logistics, and infrastructure maintenance for optimal efficiency.Team Leadership: Lead the operations team in all warehouse activities—receiving, packing, inventory control, and last-mile delivery. Foster a safety culture through regular training and adherence to best practices. Manage a team of 4-12 staff, including contracted drivers, with the ability to scale as needed.Fleet Management: Oversee fleet maintenance and rentals, ensure driver safety training in partnership with the Fleet Manager, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain high operational and safety standards.Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 and OSHA standards, ensuring safety equipment is up to code and procedures are regularly updated.Staffing and Development: Recruit, hire, and train seasonal, part-time, and full-time staff in various roles such as Receiving Coordinator, Warehouse Packer, and Delivery Driver. Ensure all team members are properly equipped to perform their roles effectively.Real-Time Logistics Management: Maintain communication with drivers throughout their routes, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries from vehicle pick-up to route completion.Operational Efficiency: Develop and refine systems to improve operational efficiency, ensuring quality control of produce through inspections, proper handling, temperature management, and inventory tracking.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Procurement, and retail staff to support a value chain that meets the needs of farmers, logistics providers, and customers. Collaborate with the Director to integrate long-term strategic goals into daily operations for continuous improvement.
