As Executive Director I am in charge of leading the Miss Colorado Opportunity and the Miss Colorado Scholarship Foundation. I lead the Executive board and the Scholarship board. The Miss Colorado Opportunity is a historic organization that is a part of the Miss America Opportunity. For over 100 years, our organizations have worked to empower the young women of Colorado and equip them with scholarships for higher education. Each summer we hold competitions for Teen contestants (ages 13-18) and Miss contestants (ages 18-27). The young women in our program learn interview skills, develop community service initiatives to engage and serve their communities, and compete in talent, fitness and evening gown. As we have recently undergone an organization leadership change, we are working to establish new partnerships and bring in both individuals and businesses that are interested in empowering the young women of Colorado. Miss Colorado Scholarship Foundation has the goal of awarding $50,000 in scholarships this July 2024 and we would love your partnership in helping us reach our goal.
