In this role, I facilitated the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation process for the Integrated Supply Chain team. I was the point of contact for any questions regarding the implementation of ECNs and part/process deviations. My role was to analyze changes initiated by engineering for cost savings, safety reasons, product improvement, etc., and interpret the effects of the changes on the Integrated Supply Chain group. I communicated with all necessary stakeholders (including manufacturing engineers, quality, materials, buyer/planners, and production scheduling) to understand when ECNs should be implemented. I ultimately filled the gap between Engineering and ISC to reduce inventory dollars and ensure smooth part changeovers for both current and new product changes.

In this role, I consistently worked on new projects to improve operating efficiency, create cost savings, and enforce safety as our top priority. My projects included weekly yard audits of finished goods for quality assurance, time studies of assembly lines for the purposes of rebalancing work by station/eliminating constraints, and weekly shipping quality reports to identify root causes and cut shipping damage rates in half.

I worked in the Haslam Communication Studio to assist fellow undergraduates with business course-focused assignments and general professional development. On a weekly basis, I had advising hours in which students could create appointments to review resumes, bio slides, presentations, elevator pitches, essays, and more based on assignment rubrics and the students' goals. It was my responsibility to act as a resource to point students toward the path of becoming successful in the world of business and communication.

I was given the responsibility to complete four projects and present them to the global Business Development team. These research projects were crafted around analyses of social media presence, sales frameworks such as BANT and the Challenger Sale, and a final opportunity to use the information I gathered to my benefit while conducting communications with hundreds of target contacts.Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to interact and learn from various associates and executives, and also earn certifications in JDA solutions that piqued my interest. I presented a final demonstration which summarized my key learning points from the process to an audience of business development representatives, human resources associates, the CEO of the company, and more.
