• Worked with approximately 300 seniors and 300 juniors to build a college-going culture at Seagoville HS, a Dallas ISD high school with overwhelmingly underrepresented-in-college students that is 91% free and reduced price lunch eligible (and with large homeless and undocumented/DACAmented populations)• Directly walked students and parents through filing for financial aid and completing the FAFSA verification process (75% of 2018 senior class completed financial aid application and verification)• Grew school FAFSA completion rate by 22% my first year (percent does not include undocumented student state financial aid applications)• Earned the 8th highest year-over-year FAFSA growth in Dallas County during the 2016-2017 school year• Successfully completed applications and earned full-ride acceptances with students to top-tier colleges and universities (including Babson, Skidmore, Hampshire, Lawrence, American, UT Austin, Franklin and Marshall, George Washington, Tufts, Northwestern, and Texas A&M)• Planned and implemented financial aid, scholarship, essay writing, college search, SAT/ACT prep, verification, and enrollment workshops• Operated Naviance to upload and send transcripts, fee waivers, recommendation letters, and supporting documents; wrote all counselor recommendation letters for the senior class

Quito, Ecuador

• Coordinated the schedule, travel arrangements and budget for 18 18-24 year-old volunteers completing water infrastructure and sustainable farming projects in Ecuador• Acted as the leader, liaison and translator for the volunteers while in indigenous communities, where together we completed work while also learning more about Ecuadorian indigenous cultures• Navigated difficult cultural situations, assisted volunteers with cultural adjustments and managed conflicts• Acted in emergency situations to keep volunteers safe and healthy, including visits to hospitals and assistance with insurance claims

Mae Sot, Thailand

• Wrote, edited and published a Monthly Chronology on current developments in the social-political context in Burma (August to December Chronologies of 2015)• Created and translated prisoner profiles to maintain a database of political prisoner profiles that includes more that 600 active profiles (currently imprisoned, detained or awaiting trial) and thousands of former political prisoner profiles• Designed a new organization logo in Adobe Illustrator, a new template for the Monthly Chronology in Word and a long-term employee scheduler in Excel• Reported on and advocated for the release and support of political prisoners and human rights defenders in Burma by drafting and editing press releases, reports and web content• Monitored political prisoner and human rights issues in Burma through the media and internal organizational contacts

Sydney, Australia

• Completed a 1-year Working Holiday Visa in Australia, in which I saved money to fund travel and work for non-profits around the world during a planned 2.5 year global experience• Supported the retailers of my client, Amaysim Sim Cards, by inputting orders, tracking retailers' statuses during selling promotions, providing technical support and following up with the warehouse to ensure orders were shipped on time and without issues• Input and processed orders received by phone and email accurately - On average spoke to 600 retailers per week and processed more than 150 orders• Set up new retailers and familiarized them with the product and their benefits as sellers

India

Nu'Uuli, American Samoa

• Taught World History and U.S. Government to seven classes of 15-20 10th and 12th graders (all English Language Learners)• Built and delivered engaging standards-based curriculum with limited resources and little guidance in a challenging environment• Monitored, evaluated and adapted lessons to better suit the needs and cultural backgrounds of Samoan and Tongan students• Collaborated with the history departments across the six island high schools to empower students to participate in National History Day (advised students, coordinated judges and ensured contest compliance) • Coached the Men's Junior Varsity Volleyball, Women's Junior Varsity Basketball and Women's Varsity Basketball teams
