I am an experienced educator, with a background in teaching both in the classroom and the corporate world. I began my career as a bookseller and then quickly moved into training new staff, and supporting the opening of new bookstores. I travelled the country as a product trainer for a paper-crafting company. As a classroom teacher, I have taught at the elementary level for 8 years, and spent 2 1/2 years as an instructional coach, with a focus on supporting teacher learning related to instructional technology. In 2022, I began teaching secondary ELA. I hold a master's in Instructional Technology and an education specialist degree in Education Innovation and Leadership. These degrees have given me insight into the needs of learners in a rapidly changing world.
