I am a public service lawyer with a variety of experience in administrative law, energy law, business organizations, business records, and administrative investigations, proceedings, and hearings. I have a strong belief in the power of public service, the ability of lawyers and public servants to solve complex problems, and the responsibility of government to address problems both big and small.I joined the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources in 2020 and have provided a variety of legal support to meet its mission of creating a clean, affordable, equitable and resilient energy future for the Commonwealth. This includes the SMART program, Grid Mod Advisory Council, energy efficiency plans, appliance standards, MOR-EV, and representing DOER at the Department of Public Utilities.At the Texas Public Utility Commission of Texas, I was an attorney with a caseload of over 40 active cases, including CCN amendments, rate cases, rate case expenses, customer complaints, and others across electric and water utilities.At the Secretary of State in Texas, in addition to assisting the public in day to day filings, I was entrusted with representing the agency for educational presentations, reaching out to business communities, and working on an anti-human trafficking initiative with the legislature, business leaders, and other state agencies. I was also the first attorney at the SOS to oversee a mediation for an athlete agent violation.
