I am an educational consultant with over 15 years experience working in the field of special and general education as a consultant, educator, trainer and advocate. I created Mosaic Education Solutions after seeing the need for a connection between people and resources. As a big picture thinker, I thrive on creating specialized education plans for students, including remediation, taking into consideration their specific learning profiles, interests and unique strengths to create a successful learning path. Solution-focused, I like to form concrete, step-by-step plans that are easily executable, often by connecting pre-existing resources into a new model.I also work with students and adults directly, coaching them through their educational or career journey as they learn how to apply executive skills (organizing, planning, understanding instructions etc.) and better understand their varied learning profiles. Most of my clients have specific learning disabilities or ADHD but some are just people who "learn outside the box" and require creative guidance and support to meet their potential.I am fortunate to collaborate with a wide circle of professional and experienced psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, tutors, remediation specialists, school counsellors, as well as disability resource staff at all levels of education. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Art History) from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education at UBC with a focus on Learning Disabilities and Social Emotional Learning.
