This expansion to Lamoureux Hall required a detailed seismic investigation and analysis of the existing building prior to design development. - Hawkesbury & District General Hospital Redevelopment, Hawkesbury, Ontario. Involved renovation of the existing hospital, as well as 2 major reinforced concrete wing additions, a structural steel courtyard infill, and smaller structural steel additions around the perimeter of the existing footprint for a total area of 120,000 square feet of new build. Detailed design gave special consideration to user requirements such as vibration sensitive equipment and phasing of construction to ensure the hospital remained operational during during all construction activities.Additional projects include industrial buildings, multi-storey condominiums, retail and institutional buildings. Prepared “Structural Scheme Report” outlining construction method and material options of the 3 proposed buildings in order for Client to make informed decisions on structure type. -
